Storytime App was founded in Jan 2013 with the App released May 2014 by Jason Cooke.

A father of 3 that works away from home on an even time roster 2 weeks on and 2weeks off.

While at home, like many parents Jason reads stories to his children at bed time.

While he was away at work, this was a problem, he would try and use programs such as skype and face time or even just over the phone to achieve the bedtime story result.

Due to the remote locations of Jason work, the internet connection were always poor and this sometimes created frustration from the signal dropping in and out, also poor quality.

Jason then remembered back to his child hood, were his brothers dad would send a casette tape in the mail for him to listen to rather than writing a letter. This was just chat rather than bed time stories though.

So Jason started to record his bedtime stories when he finished work at 6 am in the morning and then email them home ready for bed time.

This helped out at bedtime for mum, as she could play a story for one child while she got another ready for bed.

Recording stories this way quite a challenge, as Jason would have to go in and out of different applications to record the stories or do it with two different devices such as the computer and phone. And a lot of the programs or apps he would use wear quite techy.

So after reflecting on what he was doing and the technology available today the storytime app was spawned.
